Humans Of Tulsa People

NightLight Tulsa

Night Light is a weekly outreach event that builds relationships between Tulsa’s homeless population, lower income families, and the surrounding community. Night Light takes place every Thursday night from 6:30pm-9:00pm. As a volunteer you will provide many different services to Tulsa’s homeless population and lower income families in the nearby neighborhoods. As you do this you will be building relationships with not only our guest but also other volunteers. Your night will begin at 6:30 with an orientation designed to go over our rules and expectations in order for Night Light to run smoothly and safely. During this time volunteers will be broken into smaller teams. We will have a team that will be preparing/serving food, a team that will be washing feet, a clothing team, a team that will be handing out basic needs, and a team who will be sitting at tables sharing a meal and conversation with our guests. Each station is used to build relationships and restore dignity and hope. At the end of the evening all volunteers will come together as our clean up crew. We hope you will join us!
